Meet the provider
who brings calm to the chaos.
With Dani by your side, you’ll find care that’s grounded in compassion, backed by science, and centered on you.
anielle Soutendijk – who goes by Dani – was born in Des Moines, Iowa, but has called Raleigh home since 2001. As the youngest of four (with three older brothers she adores), she grew up in a big, lively household that taught her the value of connection, compassion, and a good sense of humor.
Her path to nursing began early – at just ten years old – when the birth of her oldest nephew sparked a lifelong fascination with pregnancy and the human body. That spark became a calling. She earned her nursing degree from the historic Watts School of Nursing in Durham and began her career at Duke University Hospital, caring for patients in the Neuroscience Department. What started as a way to gain experience quickly turned into a meaningful chapter; Dani found purpose in supporting patients and families facing strokes, seizures, and brain tumors.
Still, her heart kept pulling her toward women’s health. That nudge became clear during her OB/GYN rotation at Carolina Elite Women’s Care while completing her Doctor of Nursing Practice at East Carolina University. She knew then this was where she was meant to be. Dani is passionate about providing a safe, supportive space where patients can learn, ask questions, and feel confident in their care – especially when it comes to family planning and reproductive health.
Outside of the clinic, Dani is most at home outdoors, traveling, or relaxing with her partner, Joel, and their curious rabbit, Potato.
