Meet your dedicated
guide through every phase of womanhood.
With Katie by your side, you’ll be empowered through every phase of your journey, from puberty to pregnancy and beyond.
atie Hume brings a deep passion for women’s health, shaped by her experiences as a volunteer doula and her commitment to becoming a certified lactation consultant. During her time as a doula at UNC Hospital, Katie supported laboring patients through one of the most transformative moments in their lives, providing both emotional and physical care. This experience sparked her dedication to empowering women in their reproductive health journeys.
Katie completed her undergraduate studies at NC State University (Go Pack!) and went on to attend PA school at Campbell University. Her clinical training includes rotations in women’s health, where she gained hands-on experience in obstetrical visits, labor and delivery, and gynecological surgeries. She also worked closely with the WakeMed Mothers’ Milk Bank, gaining a unique understanding of breast milk donorship and further fueling her passion for providing comprehensive support to new mothers.
Katie’s goal is to offer pregnancy care that is inclusive and supportive of each woman’s individual goals, particularly in the areas of lactation and infant feeding. She is dedicated to building long-lasting relationships with her patients, guiding them through all phases of life—from puberty to menopause and everything in between.
Outside of work, Katie enjoys spending time outdoors, whether running, hiking, or reading. She also loves being with family and friends, and channels her creativity through cooking and sewing. Katie currently resides in Raleigh, North Carolina.
